Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake, CA, intends to procure on a full and open competition in accordance with FAR 6.102 for the Recertification, Modification, Beyond Economical Repair of Temperature Management Unit (TMU) Bottles. The Contractor shall provide the following services:
(1) Recertification (Hydrostatic testing - Overhaul) of TMU-72A/B and TMU-72B/B Pressure Coolant Tanks, Part Number: 639AS6739 and 639AS10789 IAW AS-2986 and AS-6191 which includes disassembly, ultrasonic cleaning, part inspection and replacement as required, reassembly and testing to manufacturing standards, and Certificate of Conformance (CofC). Delivery within 60 days after receipt of Government Furnished Property (GFP).
(2) Modification TMU-72/B Pressure Coolant Tanks, Part Number: 639AS6740 to TMU-72B/B configuration in accordance with 639AS10789 and recertification (Hydrostatic testing) IAW AS-6191 which includes disassembly, ultrasonic cleaning, part inspection and replacement as required, reassembly and testing to manufacturing standards, and CofC. Delivery within 120 days after receipt of GFP.
(3) Beyond Economical Repair (BER) of TMU-72/B, TMU-72A/B and TMU-72B/B Pressure Coolant Tanks, Part Number: 639AS6740, 639AS6739 and 639AS10789 which includes disassembly, inspection and clearly marking the beyond economical repair bottle as not repairable. Tape bottle openings to prevent loose material from exiting the bottle cavity. Return BER bottle in the original shipping containers. Provide documentation describing the unrepairable condition. Delivery within 120 days after receipt of GFP.
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, any firm believing it can fulfill the requirement identified above may submit a written response to be received at the Contracting Office no later than 30 days after the date of publication of this notice, which shall be considered by the agency. The written response shall reference solicitation number N6893626Q5102 and provide a capability statement that clearly indicates the firm’s experience, assets, background, and ability to perform the required work without compromising the quality, accuracy, reliability, and schedule.
