Description
The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to issue a FAR Part 12, Firm Fixed Price (FFP) delivery order under Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00019-25-G-0008 for the procurement of one (1) base and up to four (4) option years of commercial CT7-8A6 aircraft engine engineering and logistics support. In accordance with the statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition under 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, “Only One Responsible Source and No Other Type of Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements”, NAVAIR will issue the order to General Electric Aircraft Engines (GEAE), 1000 Western Avenue, Lynn, MA 01905 as they are the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of the CT7-8A6 commercial engine utilized on the VH-92A presidential helicopter program. GEAE is the only company that possesses the technical expertise and technical data to meet the Government’s support requirements within the required schedule and cost parameters.
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, interested parties may submit a capability statement for the purpose of determining whether to initiate a competitive procurement. All responses received by the Government within fifteen days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
