Description

Amendment 001 Q&A from vendor questions submitted by the question deadline of 12pm MST on 12/31 Where are you currently sourcing your data from or is that up to the contractor to provide/decide? Currently using Lexidrug. The contractor will provide the subscription service as outlined in the solicitation. Do you currently have a Drug Database subscription in place? Yes, Lexidrug is currently in use until the expiration of the contract on 3/30/2026. *Reminder this solicitation is NOT brand name only for Lexidrug other brands have been identified as possibly also meeting the needs of the station and vendors are encouraged to provide Lexidrug OR alternative brands that meet the salient characteristics listed in the solicitation. Does the government currently have an Azure subscription approved zone in place? The government does not require this solution to be installed in the Azure environment.  When bringing in data from multiple sources does the government have a preference on which platforms to utilize? No specific platform preference beyond compliance with VA security and interoperability standards. Must have an extensive searchable database for US domestic and foreign medications. Is there a database source preference? FDA provides this information and other platforms. No specific source preference, but the database must include comprehensive U.S. and international drug information and meet solicitation requirements. Can you elaborate on this request: Able to determine whether a particular medication is appropriate for a Veteran s service-connected condition or not? The system should provide a basic lookup of drug information such as indications, FDA approval status, and related details so that users can review this data and determine if it aligns with their own processes for handling medical claims. The decision-making will be done by the user outside the system based on the information provided. There is a requirement listed in the RFQ (item vi, page 3) - Cut sheets and specification sheets proving the offered product meets all testing specifications and salient characteristics shall be included with the quote. I am unfamiliar with this type of information; would you please clarify what is needed here? This is actually a somewhat standard evaluation factor although the wording might be more specific to supply requirements instead of service and subscription requirements. We really need vendors to provide information on their company and proposed product that they feel qualify for this requirement. Overall, it s any information the vendor can provide on the product they are proposing and all the features that meet the salient characteristics in this solicitation. I provide this information to the station partner to review and determine if the vendor s product will truly meet their needs for this requirement.  In some cases, vendors in the past, on other requirements, would provide a document where they copied over the salient characteristics from the solicitation and responded to each one with how the vendor s product would specifically meet that salient characteristic. This is recommended but not required.
