Description

This announcement constitutes a Sources Sought Notice (SSN) for informational and planning purposes only. Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) – Weapon Systems Support (WSS) is seeking potential sources interested in manufacture of  NSN: 2SH 5845 014911342 Dome, Sonar (Bow Dome) to support Virginia class submarines.  As part of its market research, NAVSUP WSS is issuing this SSN to determine qualified interested contractors capable of manufacture.

1. Purpose

Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) – Weapon Systems Support (WSS) is conducting market research to identify potential sources with the capability to manufacture and deliver the following end items

2. Requested Information

Responses should include the following:

  • Company name, CAGE code, DUNS/UEI, business size classification (large, small, 8(a), HUBZone, SDVOSB, WOSB, etc.).
  • Prior experience manufacturing polymer composite components for US Navy submarine applications
  • Description of capabilities in manufacturing polymer composite components
  • Prior experience manufacturing submarine bow domes in accordance with Electric Boat Specification 4164
  • Information on relevant certifications, facilities, and equipment
  • Examples of past performance related to similar parts, including contract numbers if applicable.
  • Estimated lead times and cost for production quantities.

3. Submission Instructions

Interested firms shall submit capability statements (PDF format preferred) via email to jeffrey.a.dietrich5.civ@us.navy.mil and aaron.heit2.civ@us.navy.mil no later than 06 MARCH 2026.
