NAS Sigonella – Water and Wastewater Treatment Chemicals and Related Services
This is a Sources Sought Notice issued solely for market research in accordance with FAR Part 10. It is not a solicitation and will not directly result in a contract award. Responses are not offers, and the Government will not pay for information submitted.
1. Purpose
Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Europe Africa Central (NAVFAC EURAFCENT), Naval Air Station (NAS) Sigonella, is conducting market research to identify qualified, responsible firms capable of providing water and wastewater treatment chemicals, delivery, and associated container inspection and cleaning services at NAS I and NAS II, Sigonella, Italy.
This notice is being issued for planning purposes only to assess technical capability, capacity, and interest in the attached draft requirement. No specific business size standard or set‑aside determination is contemplated for this overseas procurement at this time.
2. Draft Requirement (See Attached SOW)
A draft Statement of Work (SOW) is attached and describes, in detail:
- Routine scheduled delivery of treatment chemicals to NAS Sigonella water and wastewater treatment plants.
- Emergency chemical deliveries on short notice.
- Monthly inspection and cleaning of chemical storage containers.
- Chemical types, annual estimated maximum quantities, and applicable technical standards (e.g., NSF/EN standards, contaminant limits).
- Health, safety, spill response, documentation, reporting, and ISO certification requirements (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
Interested vendors shall review the attached SOW and base their responses on the requirements described therein.
