Requirements Description:  A Carrier, Gear Assembly, or commonly known as Axle Differential Assembly, is a mechanical component designed to transfer engine power to a pair of wheels while allowing them to rotate at different speeds. When a vehicle turns, the outside wheel must travel a greater distance and therefore rotate faster than the inside wheel. The differential assembly permits the necessary speed differences and prevents excessive tire wear and drivetrain strain. The differential receives rotational input from a longitudinal driveshaft and outputs a transverse rotation to both right and left axles. This specific differential is part of the number four axle assembly, so it also has a longitudinal output that transmits rotation via a driveshaft to the number five axle. Another feature of a differential is it dictates the axle’s gear ratio.

FAQ

How do I use the Market Snapshot?

It summarizes awarded-contract behavior for the opportunity’s NAICS and sector, including a recent pricing band (P10–P90), momentum, and composition. Use it as context, not a guarantee.

Is the data live?

The signal updates as new awarded notices enter the system. Always validate the official award and solicitation details on SAM.gov.

What do P10 and P90 mean?

P10 is the 10th percentile award size and P90 is the 90th percentile. Together they describe the typical spread of award values.
