The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) requires support to plan and execute the 2026 USGS National Water Data Training Workshop (NWDTW) in July or August 2026. The event will comprise of approximately 300 USGS employees and will occur in the Tuscaloosa, AL area. In addition to the workshop, a 4-day on-site planning session comprised of approximately 18 USGS employees to be held sometime between April and June 2026 is included in the request.
The purchase is contingent on the vendor's capability to furnish hotel rooms to attendees as follows:
For the on-site planning session, a block of tax-exempt rooms will be required to accommodate an estimated 18 attendees; total room-night estimates: approximately 76 room nights at local per diem.
For the workshop, A block of tax-exempt rooms will be required to accommodate an estimated 300 attendees.
Note: The USGS requires all that all attendees be lodged, and all meeting/event spaces be located, within the same primary facility.
Attendees will be responsible for reserving and paying for their personal hotel accommodations.
Support includes but is not limited to: shuttle service (to/from airport), exhibit space, AV support, WiFi, meeting rooms, meeting room signage, training rooms, access to water (drinking) or service.
All training/meeting rooms must be ADA compliant.
There are no option periods.
Competitive request for quotations (RFQ) 140G0126Q0039 will be issued on or about 1/29/2026 with written quotes due on or about 02/12/2026.
