Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Pittsburgh District, has a project for completing improvements to the Water Treatment Plant in the City of Follansbee, Brooke County, West Virginia. The work consists of upgrading the existing 700 GPM Water Treatment Plant to 1000 GPM consisting of: removing and replacing Well Pump No. 1. Installation of two (2) new 60 HP Filter Feed Pumps. Removal and replacement of the Underdrains, Filter Media, Control Valves and Control System for the existing three (3) Pressure Filters. Two (2) new 150 HP High Service Pumps. Demolition of the existing Potassium Permanganate Feed and Storage Equipment. Removal and replacement of Pumps/VFDs in Raw Water Pump Station. Electrical work. Plant piping. Painting. Perimeter fence modifications and site work. The work shall be completed within 365 Calendar Days after Written Notice to Proceed (NTP). This acquisition will be procured as Unrestricted, Full and Open Competition. The resulting award will be for one (1) Firm Fixed-Price (FFP) Contract. All responsible Bidders are encouraged to participate. The Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be issued online through the Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE) which posts the opportunity to SAM.gov. Therefore, requests for hardcopies of the solicitation will not be honored. The NAICS Code is 237110 - Water and Sewer Line and Related Structures Construction.
