Description

The mission of Pacific Air Forces (PACAF) is to provide ready Aerospace power to promote U.S. interests in the Indo-Pacific region during peacetime, through regional crisis, and in war. PACAF organizes, trains, and equips the 45,000 Total Force personnel of the Regular Air Force, the Air Force Reserve and the Air National Guard with the tools necessary to support the Commander of United States Indo-Pacific Command (INDOPACOM). PACAF comprises three numbered Air Forces, nine main bases, developing forward operating bases, and nearly 375 aircraft. The commands area of responsibility extends from the west coast of the United States to the east coast of Asia and from the Arctic to the Antarctic, more than 100,000,000 square miles (260,000,000 km2). The area is home to nearly two billion people who live in 44 countries. PACAF headquarters requires a broad range of services consistent with the mission of A4. The A4 mission continues to focus on strategy, policy, oversight, career field management and programming and budgeting within its directorates, two directly supported are: Civil Engineers (A4C), which includes installation strategy and plans, facility management, energy and environmental management, readiness and sustainment. The directorate leads Air Force Civil Engineers in providing, operating, maintaining and protecting sustainable installations. The second mission partner, Air Force Installation Mission Support Center (AFIMSC) was established and tasked with oversight, execution, and centralized support to the Air Force. As a result, the supporting Major Command (MAJCOM) staffs were reorganized, as AFIMSC began to manage direct support to all individual USAF bases. Headquarters AFIMSC established storefront offices collocated with each MAJCOM, referred to as Detachments, with direct access to both local MAJCOM staff and the centralized AFIMSC headquarters. The purpose of this contract is to provide Advisory and Assistance Services (AAS) and a plethora of technical and non-technical deliverables in support of PACAFs mission, particularly in the areas of civil engineering and logistics.
