Description
Scope
The contractor shall provide all necessary personnel, supervision, labor, materials, supplies, equipment, and transportation to perform comprehensive repair services on three (3) sections of Interkal Model G3 power-operated bleachers. The bleacher configuration consists of three distinct seating sections separated by two walking aisles, with seven rows in each section and an eighth (top) row that runs continuously across all sections. The objective of this work is to restore the bleacher systems to a safe, fully functional, and manufacturer-compliant operational state. The work includes, but is not limited to, the replacement of specified damaged components and a full inspection to ensure operational integrity.
Background
The government utilizes a three-section Interkal Model G3 telescopic bleacher system for seating within the facility. A recent inspection has identified multiple points of failure and significant wear, including damaged structural components, decking, and a non-functional power system motor. These deficiencies render the bleachers unsafe for use and non-operational. This project is required to remediate all identified issues and return the seating to service in a safe and reliable condition.
Specific Repair Tasks:
- Furnish and install four (4) new deck boards and associated H-channel, ensuring they match existing VOS (Vinyl on Steel) or equivalent material specifications for durability and appearance.
- Furnish and install twenty-four (24) new BR Cantilever Reinforcement Angles to enhance structural integrity.
- Replace one (1) damaged system gearmotor (1/2 HP, 3-Phase or equivalent) and its associated mounting brackets. The new motor must be fully integrated and tested with the existing power operating system.
- Furnish and install forty-four (44) new aluminum end caps on the seat planks.
- Replace all associated hardware for the installed components using new 5/16" galvanized carriage bolts, nuts, and appropriate washers.
Skills/Capabilities Requirements
The contractor's personnel must be technically qualified and possess a minimum of three (3) years of documented experience in the inspection, repair, and maintenance of commercial telescopic/gymnasium bleacher systems. The contractor must have demonstrated experience working with powered bleacher systems and structural steel components.
