The Air Force intends to solicit the following service:
The Contractor shall provide a one-time service contract for Testing, Evaluation, Machining and Sample Prep on the CoCr Powder Study (Tensile and Fatigue machining/testing) for the Oklahoma City–Air Logistics Complex (OC-ALC). The equipment is listed in Appendix A and GPF Attachment.
Fatigue and Tensile testing are tests of the mechanical properties produced, in this case, from a combination of machine and material parameters during additive manufacture of the base metal. The requested service will generate data that will be used for implementing a CoCr powder reuse plan, as well as design parameters for future workload.
A Firm Fixed Price type contract is contemplated.
