Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) is seeking industry feedback for the P617 Transit Protection Program Facility at Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay, Kings Bay, GA. The purpose of the Industry Day is to generate interest and explain this complex project (secure areas, construction supply chain challenges, skilled labor availability, etc.). This will be an excellent opportunity for contractors with NAICS code 237990 and similar construction experience to learn more about this upcoming project and the acquisition strategy.

Project Description:
Construct waterfront and shore infrastructure for the Transit Protection Program at Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay, Kings Bay, GA. Project includes a general purpose berthing pier, trestle with controlled access, floating small craft berthing piers, pier side utility services, wave attenuators, temporary small craft berthing with temporary utility services, operational storage facility with trailered boat parking, compressed air system, guard shack, MOGAS and DFM distribution systems, and a MOGAS storage system, all in support of the Transit Protection Program and SUBASE missions. All facilities and infrastructure that will be of permanent construction must be built for a 50-year service life. Any project components with an anticipated service life less than 50 years must be built so that they can be inspected and repaired or replaced as needed. Project also includes demolition of existing pier, trestle, floating small craft berthing piers, and appurtenances.
The estimated project range of construction is between $250,000,000 and $500,000,000.
The event is open to all contractors and is not restricted to those currently under contract with NAVFAC.

NAVFAC will not assume responsibility for costs incurred by attendees for their travel expenses for marketing event.
