HVAC SOW Item 4 Duct Cleaning For CLIN 0002, please define the extent of duct cleaning in Building 7: system list (HV/HVAC/EF), areas served, access constraints, and any required after-hours phasing. SOW defines method and reporting but not quantities. HVAC SOW Item 5 Bldg 78 Pumps For CLIN 0012, please provide existing circulation pump data: make/model, HP, voltage/phase, flange size, and duty point (GPM/TDH). SOW calls for direct replacement and references picture 78 pump . Answer: Refer to Bldg #78 Pump Pictures 6. HVAC SOW Item 5 Bldg 78 Pumps For CLIN 0012, confirm whether contractor is responsible for system drain/refill, glycol/chemical treatment, and startup/functional testing, and identify allowable shutdown windows. Answer: Pumps can be isolated via valves. Any refilling can be done via the make up water system. Pumps shall be aligned and balanced. 7. HVAC SOW Item 5 Bldg 78 Pumps SOW states pipe reconfigurations are contractor responsibility and contractor must reinsulate disturbed insulation. Please clarify whether VA anticipates minor fit-up only, or significant reroute/valves/strainers/support modifications. Answer: VA expects a direct replacement; disturbed insulation can be reused unless damaged & damaged insulation needs to be replaced. 8. HVAC SOW Item 5 Bldg 78 Insulation For CLIN 0014 (Bldg 78 piping insulation), SOW states Furnish and install insulation on piping refer to attached photos . Please provide insulation spec (type/thickness/jacket/vapor barrier) and whether fittings/valves require covers. Answer: SECTION 22 07 11 PLUMBING INSULATION 9. Safety Insulation work (Bldg 61/78) Please confirm whether any existing pipe/duct insulation in the affected areas is known or presumed ACM and whether VA will provide abatement/testing if encountered. Answer: If ACM is suspected, contractor will notify VA for sampling and testing. 10. HVAC Bldg 80 Chapel Controls For CLINs 0003 0008, SOW is detailed but does not state whether work is DDC conversion and BAS integration. Please confirm required control platform, BAS manufacturer, required points list/sequence, and acceptance/commissioning requirements. Answer: DDC Conversion 11. HVAC Emergency Services / Parts Allowance SOW states contractor shall carry an allowance for emergency repair parts $XX.XX , while price schedule lists Emergency Parts/Materials as N/A. Answer: INKind replacement. Can be field measured. 13. Base Year Duct Cleaning: Are there existing access panels for duct cleaning and is the work to be completed during regular working hours? Answer: Refer to Drawing for any access locations. Work can be performed during normal working hours 14. Can you please provide Mechanical/Electrical drawings for Building 61, 78, & 80 Answer: Up to date as-builts do not exist. VA documents available for viewing in Bldg. #80. 15. Can you please provide pictures of HV-1 & HV-2 in Building 80 above bathroom Answer: refer to photos for Chapel 16. Can you please provide louvre sizes for Building 78 clothing room Answer: The clothing room HV intake louvre/damper assembly is approximately 4 high by 10 wide 17. Are there any available pictures for any of the 11 boilers at the crescent house? Answer:No, However a site visit can be scheduled via the contractor officer 18. For the Building 78 circulation pumps, please confirm that pumps to be replaced are the 2 on the far left end in the provided picture Answer: Two pumps on right are being replaced. All pumps are that same. 19. Is the pneumatic controls replacement limited to devices associated with the unit only? Answer:Yes 20. Are the other necessary pneumatic components currently functioning and existing to remain? Answer:No 21. Any duct work plans for building 7 if possible please.
