Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Pittsburgh District, has a project that involves the rehabilitation of the elevated water tank at Shenango Lake, Mercer County, PA. The work generally includes the removal and replacement of interior piping and related appurtenances, removal and replacement of interior 6-inch concrete slab and removable grating, removal and replacement of electric panels, and removal and replacement of interior lower ladder. Removal and proper disposal of electrical equipment will be required. Ferrous and all other construction waste material will be disposed of at commercially permitted facilities licensed to accept waste or recyclable materials as applicable. Construction work will occur near flood mitigation and recreation areas. The existing facilities are currently operated and staffed by Government personnel 24 hours a day 365 days a year. Seasonal recreation requires the water tank to be in operation Memorial Day through Labor Day. All shutdowns are to be coordinated with the Contracting Officer or designated representative. PreSolicitation Notice is W911WN25BA020 for this project. The work shall be completed within 540 Calendar Days after Written Notice to Proceed (NTP). Per FAR 36.204(d), the Magnitude of Construction is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. This acquisition will be procured as 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The resulting award will be fore one (1) Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) Contract. All responsible Bidders are encouraged to participate. The Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be issued online through the Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE) which posts the opportunity to SAM.gov. Therefore, requests for hardcopies of the solicitation will not be honored. The NAICS Code is 237110 - Water and Sewer Line and Related Structures Construction. The Small Business Size Standard is $45,000,000.00. In order to submit a Bid for this project, your company must: 1) be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and maintain an active registration status, and 2) be registered in PIEE for the Solicitation Module with the PROPOSAL MANGER Role.
