Description
NOTICE OF INTENT
The 502d Contracting Squadron intends to issue a direct award to Commemorative Air Force (CAF) (SAM UEI: RR3MM8ZLJSA8) for Marshalling Detachment Services under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). This is a sole-source purchase order based on only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Contracting Officer (CO) may solicit from one source if the CO determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available (e.g. urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand-name or industrial mobilization). Due to the unique capabilitiy and nature of the requirement, Commemorative Air Force (CAF) has direct knowledge of Marshalling Detachment Services needed for the 2026 Great Texas Air Show.
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes nor a solicitation for offers. Interested persons may identify their interest and capabilities for fulfilling this requirement. Information received will be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive requirement and is solely within the discretion of the Governement. Interested parties stating capability shall provide the following, but not limited to:
All personnel, supervision, and other items to provide ground handling/marshaling services for World War (WW) II era civilian aircraft during the 2026 Great Texas Airshow hosted by Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA)-Randolph, including the WWII era aircraft flying out of Kelly Field.
