SS Central Office Illinois Assistive Tech OEL This is a notice of intent to award a contract as a sole source to: Illinois Assistive Technology Program for assistive technology devices. See attachment for details. The hearing will be canceled unless an interested party submits written comments or makes a written request for public hearing by Friday, March 27, 2026, at 4 p.m. to the Info Contact above Item # 1: ( 952 - 90 ) Assistive Technology (AT) Devices will be provided directly to Division of Rehabilitation Services (DRS) Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) program customers, with the goal of minimizing the time and cost required. As defined in the Assistive Technology Act of 2004 (P.L. 108-364), Assistive Technology Devices are "any item, piece of equipment, or product system, whether acquired commercially, modified, or customized, that is used to increase, maintain, or improve functional capabilities of individuals with disabilities." Services will be managed by professionals with extensive knowledge and expertise in assistive technology, including RESNA (Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America) Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) certification. Services will be provided statewide. 100% FEDERAL FUNDING Assistive Technology (AT) Devices will be provided directly to Division of Rehabilitation Services (DRS) Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) program customers, with the goal of minimizing the time and cost required.
