SUBJECT
Market research is being conducted to identify potential sources that may possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet the requirements for qualification and production of NSNs 1680-01-631-3650UC, RH Center Drive Unit and 1680-01-631-3646UC, LH Center Drive Unit.

ITEM DESCRIPTION
The components of interest are NSN 1680-01-631-3650UC, RH Center Drive Unit, PN 12688-14, T.O. 1C-5M-4-11  F/11  I/39, and 1680-01-631-3646UC, LH Center Drive Unit, PN 12688-13, T.O. 1C-5M-4-11  F/11  I/38 on the C-5 aircraft , whose primary function is to provide centralized power distribution and control of the thrust reverser system to aid in slowing the aircraft for landings, and other in-flight maneuvers.

IMPEDIMENT TO COMPETITION:
Competition is limited to entities that meet requirements set forth by Distribution Statements and Export Control Notices of the technical data package, which are owned by Honeywell Industries, Inc.

The Government intends to procure these items using Other Than Full and Open Competition as prescribed by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements via a sole source contract to Honeywell Industries, Inc.
