Special Notice - Freeze Thaw Machine
This is not a solicitation. This is a notification of an intent to award a sole source procurement under NAICS code 333415 Air-Conditioning and Warm Air Heating Equipment and Commercial and Industrial Refrigeration Equipment Manufacturing. The Bureau of Reclamation Upper Colorado Basin Acquisition Branch will solicit and award a purchase order to Scientemp Corp. Scientemp Corp will provide a Freeze-Thaw Chamber that complies with ASTM C666. Minimum of 40 standard-sized sample capacity. Electrical requirements:208V, 60Hz, three phase, 45 amps. Digital controller to program freeze-thaw cycles and recordmeasured temperature data.for the Bureau of Reclamation. The Government believes that only one responsible source can provide this requirement.
The statutory authority for other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), only one source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. If firms believe they have the technical capability to meet this need, submit a technical capability statement along with business profile to ConnieAnn Tudela-Kately at ctudelakately@usbr.gov within fifteen (15) days of this notice. Any information received will be treated as market research information towards future similar or same requirements. Quotations or proposals received in response to this notice will not be accepted since the synopsis is not a request for proposal.
