VIEW RFP Proposals Due: Wednesday, April 1 no later than 3:00 p.m. MST/MDT Overview Summit County Government (“County”) is soliciting proposals from qualified firms or consultants to complete a comprehensive update of the Summit County Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP). The selected planning area is the entirety of Summit County, Colorado. The purpose of this project is to identify current wildfire risk conditions, incorporate updated geospatial data, strengthen cross‐boundary coordination, and maintain eligibility for state and federal wildfire mitigation funding programs. The selected contractor will lead a collaborative, science-based, and community-driven planning process to update the existing CWPP in accordance with current standards outlined by the Colorado State Forest Service and the U.S. Forest Service. Bids must be submitted via email to dan.schroder@colostate.edu to the Colorado State University Extension office by Wednesday, April 1, 2026 no later than 3:00 p.m. MST/MDT. The bid should outline the schedule for commencement of service.
