Description

Provide pick-up/drop-off laundry services three (3) time a week for 371 members of the Department of National Defense (DND) of Canada temporarily stationed at Fort Riley, Kansas for the period of 01-31MAR26. 

Please refer to the attached Statement of Work (SOW) for specific details, a general breakdown of work is listed below:

  1. The laundry services must include but are not limited to: washing, drying and disinfecting of uniforms, clothing items, blankets, linen and laundry bags. Items must be returned in the bags they were originally submitted in.
  2. Laundry may be processed either individually or in groups, however, all items must be returned completely dry and free of any moisture.
  3. The Contractor must provide laundry services with a turnaround time of up to 48 hours.
  4. The Contractor must ensure that the washed items are maintained and returned with their original appearance, with the exception of, normal wear and tear. This includes minimizing fading, wrinkling, and shrinking. Spots and stains are to be removed where practical to do so without damaging the fabric.
  5. The laundry bags must be dropped off at the pick-up point it originated, in the bucket labelled “clean.”
  6. The Contractor’s obligation is to ensure that incidents such as lost, stolen, and damaged items are kept to a minimum.
  7. The Contractor is required to establish a lost-and-found procedure at the pick-up/drop-off point for any lost items belonging to the customers when discovered.

Pick-up/Delivery Schedule

  1. Pick-up and delivery will take place at Fort Riley, Kansas in a designated area. This process will take place three (3) times per week on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
  2. Pick-up and drop-off location will be disclosed at contract award.
  3. Contractor has 48 hours to complete the washing and return the laundry. For example, laundry picked up on Mondays will be returned on Wednesdays, laundry picked up on Wednesdays will be returned on Fridays, and laundry picked up on Fridays will be returned the following Monday.
  4. The Contractor must initiate a full drop-off and pick-up procedure/system to ensure correct return of laundry items. The service will be fully run by the Contractor.
  5. The Contractor must be prepared to receive bulk drop-off and pick-up by customer equivalent units, e.g. 371 persons.
  6. CAF personnel will be responsible for all tasks prior to the drop-off and after the pick-up process, including but not limited to tracking the quantity and ownership of laundry bags.
