Description
DoDEA is in need of curriculum geared towards suicide prevention for graded 6-12. DoDEA requires the potential contractor to provide the following: The Contractor shall provide (1) systemic student suicide prevention curriculum for students in grades 6-12 that can be delivered as a single stand-alone classroom lesson and is evidenced-based with research demonstrating reduced student suicides and suicide attempts, (2) digital instructional resources with demonstrated evidence of its effectiveness in reducing instances of suicidal behaviors such as attempts for the middle school (grades 6-8) and high school (grades 9-12) grade bands, (3) a screener aligned to the instructional resources that has demonstrated evidence of its effectiveness in identifying students at risk of committing acts of self-harm or suicide, and (4) related virtual professional learning and technical support. The Contractor shall provide digital instructional resources for approximately 14,175 6th through 8th grade students being taught in 60 schools and approximately 12,750 9th through 12th grade students being taught in 40 schools. DoDEA expects to award one contract for this requirement. Note: The grade configuration for DoDEA schools can vary depending on location and school year, with some middle school grade levels included at elementary schools or high schools.
