NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE Services: NANOSTRING SERVICE MAINTENANCE CONTRACT THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS OR PROPOSALS The Department of Veteran Affairs (VA), VISN 17 Network Contracting Office intends to award a sole source contract for the Dallas Texas Health Care System, 4500 South Lancaster Road, Dallas, Texas 75216. This proposed contract action is to procure Service Maintenance which only Bruker Spatial Biology, Inc. can provide to maintain repairs and service and maintenance on equipment for the Pathology and Laboratory Department located at the Dallas Texas Health Care System, 4500 South Lancaster Road, Dallas, Texas 75216. Period of Performance: 04/10/2026-04/09/2027 PART # DESCRIPTION UNIT QUANTITY 2106G0279 Geomx System YR 1 2103P0347 Sprint System YR 1 Classification Code: J066 NAICS: 811210 Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price contract to Bruker Spatial Biology, Inc.,40 Manning Rd, Billerica, Massachusetts 01821. This acquisition is conducted under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 1901 Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Services as implemented in RFO FAR 12.102(a), only one responsible source and no other or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Contracting Officer has determined that the circumstances of the contract action deem that only one source can provide the services required at the level of quality required because the services are unique or highly specialized. A determination not to compete this proposed contract is based on market research and is solely within the discretion of the government. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. Any interested party that believes they can fulfill this requirement should submit supporting evidence to be reviewed. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. This evidence shall include a letter from the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) stating vendor is an authorized distributor per clause VAAR 852.212-71. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct competitive procurement. No cost to the government will arise as a result of contractor submissions of responses to this announcement or the government use of such information. Interested parties are responsible for adequately marking proprietary or competitively sensitive information contained in their response. No sub-contracting opportunity is anticipated.
