Description

Please note this solicitation is not ready to be issued as of this date. The Embassy of the United States in Addis Ababa will launch the solicitation on the embassy website Procurement Opportunities - U.S. Embassy in Ethiopia on February 3, 2026.  

The U.S. Embassy in Addis Ababa requires services contract to perform both scheduled and unscheduled work to service three OTIS GEN-2 elevators, OTIS 45NRD 459, OTIS 45NRD 460 and OTIS 45NRD 461 elevators at US Government owned properties, in safe, reliable and efficient operating condition. The Contractor shall furnish managerial, administrative and direct operational personnel to accomplish all work as required in this Contract. 

The anticipated performance period is for a base year, with four one-year option periods, if exercised by the Government. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which will be considered. 

The Government may award the contract based on the initial offer without discussion. The resultant contract will be a firm fixed price contract.  

The Government is planning a pre-quotation conference and the date for this conference will be in the solicitation.  
 

All contractors must be registered in the SAM (System for Award Management) Database https://www.sam.gov prior to submitting an offer pursuant to FAR provision 52.204-7. Therefore, prospective offerors are encouraged to register prior to the submittal of quotations/proposals. 

This opportunity is subject to 52.229-12 - Tax on Certain Foreign Procurements (FEB 2021) 

Your quotation must be submitted electronically in two separate folders (Financial vs Technical) to Addiscontract@state.gov Attn: Kathleen Edgin. It is important to make sure the submission is made in specific size and format; in MS-Word 2007/2010 or MS-Excel 2007/2010 or Adobe Acrobat (pdf) file format. The file size must not exceed 30MB. If the file size should exceed the 30MB, the submission must be made in separate files and attached to separate emails with less than 30MB each. 

The US Embassy Addis Ababa reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.
