Sources Sought Notice: Generator Rental Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 6 Richmond VAMC The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office (NCO) 6, on behalf of the Richmond VA Medical Center, is conducting market research via this sources sought notice to identify qualified businesses capable of providing generator rental services that meet the requirements below. Salient Characteristics A. Required Function: Provide rental of a generator that complies with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards. B. Required Performance: Richmond VA Medical Center requires a temporary trailer-mounted generator (1500kW/1.5MW) to meet NFPA startup standards until a permanent solution is implemented. C. Essential Physical Characteristics: The rental generator must meet the following specifications: Power Output: 1500 KW Rating: 1750 KVA Onboard Fuel: 0 gallons Voltage: 480/277V, 3 phase Frequency: 60 Hz Fuel Capacity: 5,200 gallons Trailer-mounted unit Built-in fuel tank Start-up assist feature Ability to connect to existing critical power switchgear All copper wiring Compatible with current switchgear connection methods Controlled by the existing generator control system Include electrical drawings Provided with galvanized rigid steel (GRS) conduit Qualifications of Offerors: Must be established in the required field, and provide appropriate licensing Must be financially responsible and able to demonstrate reliability, experience, equipment, facilities, and personnel necessary to provide satisfactory service Respondents are requested to provide the following information: Indicate whether your business is a manufacturer or a reseller of a small business manufacturer Specify your interest in submitting a Federal Supply Schedule (FSS) quote or Open Market quote (include FSS contract number, if applicable) Identify any affiliated companies (wholly or partially owned) that provide similar goods/services under related NAICS codes, including CVE certification type (SDVOSB/VOSB), Federal Identification Number, and state of incorporation Confirm active SAM registration and provide your Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) Provide a current capabilities statement Failure to supply this information may result in your company being considered incapable of fulfilling the VA s requirements.
