Description
This requirement is a design-build effort to repair dormitory BLDG 2620 and the adjacent laundry building/pavilion building along with the transition enclosure between the laundry building/pavilion building and the dormitory building. The Base Bid work includes completing the government furnished 60% design to obtain a final 100% design package and repairing Dormitory Building 2620 and the adjacent laundry building/pavilion building as per the Statement of Objective. This construction requirement shall include but is not limited to the following:
- Renovation of interiors including floors, walls, ceiling, finishes, and restrooms
- Laundry building/pavilion building renovation, updating buildings to conform with latest code for Energy and Life Safety, exterior renovations including new roof and windows
- Relocation of existing mechanical room in basement to the first floor of BLDG 2620
- Complete update to the HVAC and Plumbing systems, including complete replacement of all HVAC equipment and components
- Replacement and updating of all plumbing piping and fixtures
- Updates to the entire electrical distribution system, including a complete replacement of electrical distribution from the pad mount transformer secondary conductors to the entire downstream building distribution system.
- Fire protection updates, including installation of a mass notification system and fire alarm system throughout the dormitory and laundry building/pavilion building.
