Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for non-commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 36, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes only solicitation; quotes are being requested, and no other written solicitation will be issued.

Instructions to offerors, (FAR Part 36) evaluation criteria, and all applicable FAR Provisions and Clauses are attached.

The solicitation number is 70Z02926Q0000003 and is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ).

Where Federal Acquisition Regulation clause language is inconsistent with FAR Part 36, Legal Effect of Quotations, that language is hereby tailored in accordance with FAR Part 36 to be consistent with a request for quotations. This tailoring includes but is not limited to the following: In accordance with FAR Part 36, a quotation is not an offer, and any clause provision to the contrary is hereby modified to be consistent with FAR Part 36. Where the word "offer/offeror" or a derivative of that word appears, it is changed to "quote/quoter" or a derivative of that word.

This is a small business set aside, the applicable NAICS code is 238210 and the small business size standard is 19.0M

This solicitation will result in a Firm-Fixed Price Construction Contract awarded to the offeror with the Lowest Price and Best Valve. Offerors must be actively registered in System for Award Management - https://www.sam.gov.

The U.S. Coast Guard Contractor shall connect the existing Kohler model 100 REOZJF generator to the existing 50-gallon day tank, existing 1000-gallon fuel tank, existing

electrical panels, existing automatic transfer switches, and other existing appurtenances at Station Destin, Florida.

FAR 52.237-1 -- Site Visit (Apr 1984). Offerors or quoters are urged and expected to inspect the site where services are to be performed and to satisfy themselves regarding all general and local conditions that may affect the cost of contract performance, to the extent that the information is reasonably obtainable. In no event shall failure to inspect the site constitute grounds for a claim after contract award.

The Contracting Officer Representative (COR) is MKC Daniel Flanigan will schedule all site visits and support/supervisor for this work. Daniel.P.Flanigan@uscg.mil Phone: (850) 244-7147. All work shall be coordinated through the POC to minimize operational impacts on the unit during the execution of the work.
