This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 – Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested, and a separate written solicitation document will not be issued. This solicitation is being issued under the authority of FAR Part 14 - Sealed Bidding.

BY SIGNING THE SF1442, THE CONTRACTOR IS CERTIFYING THEY HAVE CONDUCTED A SELF-GUIDED INSPECTION OF ALL BRIDGES ON THIS INVITATION FOR BID. All work to be performed under the contract awarded will be in accordance with FP03/24 and USDA Forest Service supplements.
This is an Invitation for Bid (IFB) will result in award of a firm-fixed price contract. Award will be made using a Lowest Price responsive/ responsible evaluation. Location: NFSR 521-2.9 over Bear Creek, Grant County, Louisiana at mile post 2.7260. The project is located on the Winn Ranger District in Natchitoches Parish, Louisiana on FSR 521 at milepost 2.9. Scope of Work Summarized: The contractor shall provide all materials, labor, equipment, tools, transportation, supervision, expertise, and other incidentals necessary, except as otherwise provided in the contract, to successfully complete the following work on National Forest Road (NFSR) utilizing/meeting FP-03 and 24 standards. This project is for the replacement of NFSR 521-2.9 over Bear Creek, Grant County, Louisiana at mile post 2.7260. SCHEDULE:
Site Visit: Contractor will self-tour the bridged and certify on the Schedule B for each line item. An organized site visit is not scheduled. Bidders are urged and expected to inspect the site where services are to be performed and to satisfy themselves regarding all general and local conditions that may affect the cost of contract performance, to the extent that the information is reasonably obtainable. In no event shall failure to inspect the site constitute grounds for a claim after contract award. NOTE: The bridge is currently closed to ALL traffic.
