Description
The National Park Service, Interior Regions 3/4/5, Ohio Major Acquisition Buying Office, intends to issue an Invitation for Bids (IFB) for the ADA restroom project for the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in Grand Marais, Michigan.
Providing all labor, materials, tools and other equipment necessary for renovating an approximately 650 foot long paved trail. The existing trail is asphalt pavement with three wood bridges. The trail traverses a variety of steep and gradual terrain and follows Munising creek terminating at an overlook deck at the base of Munising Falls. The existing trail is approximately 5 ft wide typical and the proposed trail is 6’ wide typical. Existing bridges and portions of the existing on-grade trail will be replaced with elevated boardwalks.

PROJECT MAGNITUDE: Between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000
TYPE OF CONTRACT: This will be a firm-fixed price contract expected to be awarded to a prime contractor by early July 2026 with performance to begin in September 2026.
Construction Wage Rate Requirements for Alger County, MI will apply.
North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) CODE CLASSIFICATION and SET ASIDE: The NAICS Code is 237990, and the size standard is $45 million.
This project is set aside 100% for Total Small Businesses.
