Intent to Sole Source: The Government plans to issue a sole-source, firm-fixed-price contract in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) 6.103 and Veterans Affairs Acquisition Regulation (VAAR) 819.7008 Sole Source Awards to Verified SDVOSBs, which authorizes direct contracting with SDVOSBs. The contract is for the construction period of service (CPS) for renovating the canteen kitchen at the Charleston VA Medical Center. The designated source is Atriax P. LLC at 703 Main Ave SW, Hickory, North Carolina, 28602. In accordance with FAR Part 6, contracts awarded using this authority must be supported by a written justification, and approval will be posted within fourteen (14) days after contract award if the dollar amount meets the threshold. The Government will review all capability statements received by the closing date of this synopsis. The decision not to compete based on responses is solely at the Government's discretion. The information received will be used only to determine whether to pursue a competitive procurement. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this work is 541330 Engineering Services, with a size standard of $25.5 million. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS or PROPOSALS. No contract award will be made based on quotations or proposals received in response to this notice.
