The purpose of this sources sought announcement is for market research to make appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential qualified Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses, Veteran Owned Small Businesses, 8(a), HubZone and other Small Businesses interested and capable of providing the services described below. Documentation of technical expertise must be presented in sufficient detail for the Government to determine that your company possesses the necessary functional area expertise and experience to compete for this acquisition. The Department of Veteran Affairs, San Diego VA Health Care System located at 3350 La Jolla Village Dr, San Diego, CA 92161 and three other locations at VASD Kearny Mesa Outpatient Clinic: 8875 Aero Drive, San Diego CA 92110, VASD Chula Vista Outpatient Clinic: 353 H Street, Chula Vista, CA 91910, VASD Oceanside Outpatient Clinic: 1300 Rancho Del Oro Road, Oceanside, CA 92058 is requesting interactive wall-mounted way-finding touchscreen monitors with all associated hardware to enhance its wayfinding and address existing deficiencies in order to improve the navigation experience for patients and staff across multiple locations. Important information: The Government is not obligated to, nor will it pay for or reimburse any costs associated with responding to this source sought synopsis request. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. The Government will in no way be bound to this information if any solicitation is issued. The VA is mandated by Public Law 109-461 to consider a total set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business set aside. However, if response by Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business firms proves inadequate, an alternate set-aside or full and open competition may be determined. GENERAL INFORMATION: VA San Diego Healthcare System (VASDHS) is one of the leading health care systems serving Veterans in the VA Desert Pacific Healthcare Network. VASDHS offers a wide range of health, support, and facility services for Veterans in San Diego. Jennifer Moreno Medical Center is VASDHS main campus and is a teaching hospital providing a comprehensive range of services, leveraging state-of-the-art technology alongside education and research initiatives. BACKGROUND: The VA San Diego Healthcare System needs to enhance its wayfinding and address existing deficiencies in order to improve the navigation experience for patients and staff across multiple locations. PURPOSE: The contract requires a contractor to deliver a complete solution, including but not limited to concept, design, manufacture, installation, and maintenance of a digital wayfinding system to improve veterans experience at four VASDHS facilities. This includes recurring updates to graphic design and fabrication services to establish a comprehensive wayfinding system. The system will be essential for identifying, regulating, directing, orienting, and instructing patients, visitors, and staff. SCOPE: VASDHS is requesting interactive wall-mounted way-finding touchscreen monitors with all associated hardware at four VASDHS locations identified below: VASD Jennifer Moreno Medical Center: 3350 La Jolla Village Dr., San Diego, CA 92161 VASD Kearny Mesa Outpatient Clinic: 8875 Aero Drive, San Diego CA 92110 VASD Chula Vista Outpatient Clinic: 353 H Street, Chula Vista, CA 91910 VASD Oceanside Outpatient Clinic: 1300 Rancho Del Oro Road, Oceanside, CA 92058 The installations must meet or exceed the physical, functional, and performance specifications outlined in this section's salient characteristics. Tasks shall include, but are not limited to: Installation of 16 digital Wall mounted touchscreen monitors (47" 65") where specified with associated cabling. ADA compliant interactive floor maps Turn-by-turn directions, elevator-only routing option Top 10 Destinations quick-access cards with photos and hours Real-time content with remote update capabilities Built-in accessibility: screen reader, magnifier, text scaling and high contrast display Staff training Provide all required equipment and accessories Browser-based platform Single URL covering all four VA San Diego locations Indoor routing at each location, with exterior campus map for main hospital VA-branded QR codes placed at entrances, kiosks, and in print materials Print-Ready Maps that are in exportable layouts for brochures and designed to align with digital formats for consistency.
