Description
This notice is for Solicitation Number 36C24226R0019, Project Number 561A4-26-500 Repaving of CLC Loading Dock at the VA Health Care System, Lyons Campus, 151 Knollcroft Rd., Lyons, NJ 07939. This shall be a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside. As a result, all SDVOSB's may submit a bid, which will be considered by the agency. This project is classified under NAICS Code 238990 and has a size standard of $19 Million. The Magnitude of Construction for this project is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. Scope of Work: The scope of work shall generally consist of, but not limited to the following: The contractor shall provide all necessary labor, including premium evening, weekend and holiday hours, materials to demolish and remove approximately 1,600 square feet of existing 12-inch-thick concrete, including old steel bollard bases, with all debris disposed of in contractor provided dumpster. The scope covers scanning of concrete for underground utilities, phasing of work, subgrade compaction and grading, installation of a reinforced concrete slab while using a wire mesh system and/or rebar system with control joints, a broom-finished, sealed surface to ensure durability and proper drainage for heavy-duty use. The contract also encompasses the scanning for utilities, coordination of generator shutdown, and demolition of an 11 by 25 section of asphalt pavement and 22 linear feet of curb. All removed materials will be tested for contamination and, if necessary, remediation will be performed in accordance with all appropriate VA regulations. The work includes installation of new asphalt pavement and curb, grading and compaction to match existing conditions, and a final inspection to verify compliance with project specifications, state standards, as well as VA regulations. Two (2) Catch basins must be replaced and scope will include patch, repair, or rebuilding of asphalt necessary for catch basin installation. All demolition debris will be removed and properly disposed of, leaving the site clean and ready for use. Contractor must comply with all applicable VA specifications for the VA NJ Healthcare System, Lyons campus. Project Completion: 56 Calendar Days from Notice to Proceed (NTP). All other details and information shall be contained in the solicitation which shall be posted on www.sam.gov. The solicitation will be released on or about February 17, 2025. The response submittal address, date and time will be included in the solicitation. This project requires bonding and all responses/submissions to the solicitation to be posted later shall be emailed. No hand-carried bids will be accepted. All prospective bidders must be currently registered in www.sam.gov , www.dnb.com (Duns and Bradstreet) and be registered and verified as a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) in https://search.certifications.sba.gov/ at the time of offer submission and before award of this procurement.
