1. Description
This is a Sources Sought notice issued in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10 for market research purposes. This is not a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of qualified small businesses to perform the specific work detailed below.
The 187th Fighter Wing located in Montgomery, Alabama is seeking sources for the repair and maintenance of aircraft hangar doors as described in the attached Statement of Work (SOW). The work generally includes, but is not limited to, the inspection, diagnosis, repair, and testing of vertical lift fabric hangar doors, specifically the MEGA Door brand.
2. Purpose and Requirement
The purpose of this market research is to determine if there are two or more capable small businesses that can perform the requirements of this project, which would allow for a potential set-aside. The designated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 238290 - Other Building Equipment Contractors, with a corresponding Small Business Administration (SBA) size standard of $22.0 million in average annual receipts.
