Repair of Hangar Doors

1. Description

This is a Sources Sought notice issued in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10 for market research purposes. This is not a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of qualified small businesses to perform the specific work detailed below.

The 187th Fighter Wing located in Montgomery, Alabama is seeking sources for the repair and maintenance of aircraft hangar doors as described in the attached Statement of Work (SOW). The work generally includes, but is not limited to, the inspection, diagnosis, repair, and testing of vertical lift fabric hangar doors, specifically the MEGA Door brand.

2. Purpose and Requirement

The purpose of this market research is to determine if there are two or more capable small businesses that can perform the requirements of this project, which would allow for a potential set-aside. The designated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 238290 - Other Building Equipment Contractors, with a corresponding Small Business Administration (SBA) size standard of $22.0 million in average annual receipts. 

The Government will use the information received from this notice to determine the most appropriate acquisition strategy for this procurement.

3. Requested Information

Interested parties who consider themselves qualified to perform the work described are invited to submit a response to this Sources Sought notice. All responses must include the following information:

Company Name, Address, Point of Contact (Name, Title, Phone, Email), UEI Number, and CAGE Code.

Business Size and Status

Identify your company's business size (Small Business or Other than Small Business) under NAICS code 238290. Also, specify any socioeconomic status (e.g., 8(a), HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB)).

Capability Statement

A brief statement (not to exceed 3 pages) describing your company's capability to perform the work outlined in the attached Draft SOW. This statement should demonstrate your technical ability and experience with similar projects.

Experience with MEGA Door Brand

Crucially, provide a detailed listing of your company's experience in the repair, maintenance, and/or installation of MEGA Door brand hangar doors. For each relevant project, include: - Project Title and Location - Brief Description of the Scope of Work
