Description

This sources sought is being extended for the opportunity to gain more information from industry. I have attached pictures of the current car wash and equipment room due to many requests. This latest update is to include some new answers we got on specs of the location. Answers are bolded and underlined.

Cannon AFB, NM requires Installation of a new Government-Owned Vehicle (GOV) wash rack system at Building 438. There is already a standing system in place that needs to be replaced. The system must include all necessary pumps, equipment, and controls to service three (3) interior wash bays and one (1) exterior sprayer for oversized vehicles. The project includes removal of the old, deteriorating system and full installation and testing of the new equipment.

  1. Boom requirements
  • Quantity of ceiling booms needed –2 total
  • Boom type required for each bay—1 Ceiling and 1 wall mount for brush for each bay
  • Boom length / reach required—8 Ft and currently has a hose length of 12-15 ft
  • Whether any locations require single or dual boom configurations—Each have a single Ceiling boom for wand and 1 single wall mount for brush for each bay
  • For the exterior wash position for oversized vehicles, do you have a preferred way you’d like the boom arms mounted (wall vs overhead/truss)? Wall
  1. Mounting details
  • Ceiling, wall, or truss mounting—Truss mount for ceiling and a wall mount for exterior and 1 each for both bays
  • Mounting surface type and dimensions—Ceiling is truss angle iron and wall mount for each 8 ft boom
  1. Wash bay accessory requirements
  • Quantity of wand holders--3
  • Quantity of foam brush holders--3
  • Quantity of brush buckets--3
  • Whether each bay will have foam brush stations--YES
  1. Sprayer / oversized vehicle area details
  • Whether the exterior sprayer requires a boom, hose reel, or wall-mounted setup—Wall mount 100’ reel mount
  • Required reach and mounting style—100’ ft wall mount reel wall
  • Hose length needed—100’ ft wall mount reel
  1. System connection details
  • Hose sizes—bay hoses 15’ each
  • Inlet / outlet connection sizes—1/2 “
  • Operating pressure and flow requirements, if known—currently the air compressor is set at 140 PSI
  • I noticed the equipment list calls out both 8-position meter boxes and 12-position menu signs—can you confirm which direction you’re planning to go and which functions you require?  –8 is suitable
  •  Water supply is direct from base plumbing in the main pump room where the main component is set
  1. Site documents
  • Bay dimensions—Bay dimensions are 15’ X 20’ depth with 15-18’ inner height
