Description

Synopsis: This is the official notice to the public that the draft Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Global Tires Program 2.0, is now available along with all of its attachments. The Government is providing Industry two weeks to review this information and to submit questions (or comments) back to the Contracting Officer, Charles (Chuck) E. Mielke II at charles.mielkeii@dla.mil. Responses are due, Monday 9 March 2026 by 7 a.m. EST (Columbus, OH). It is the Government’s intent to review the questions and then to answer those questions and post that information here. Afterwards, the Government will hold a Virtual Industry Day at a time and date to be determined. Please note that we appreciate everyone’s efforts as we all work to adapt to the recent updates to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). We have updated the draft RFP to reflect these changes to the best of our ability. References to the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), may or may not be accurate as changes to the DFARS have not yet been implemented. We appreciate your understanding and patience as we navigate this transition together. In accordance with FAR 15.203, it is the Contracting Officer’s decision to award without negotiations. The Government intends for the RFP to be open for 90 days. The date and time for opening and closing on the draft RFP is not accurate.
