Description

1 EACH NAICS 423830 The following services shall be listed as a lump sum price. Services and materials shall include the following repairs in one (1) cooling tower cell as follows: 1.1 Lateral Support Repairs Remove the 2x4 transverse lateral supports/tie lines, full width of the cell, on both transverse bents at the header bay in (1) cell and install FRP ties. Includes: a) 3.5" channel lateral supports, double members, on (2) transverse bents. Ties will be spliced adjacent to the longitudinal fire wall. Ties will NOT be replaced through the fire wall. b) Bolt to re-secure the existing lateral to the new FRP supports. Re-use clips. Includes shim inside channel to maintain same hole in the lateral. 1.2 Lateral Repairs Re-install the lateral downcomer to the bottom of the header in (1) cell, (16 places). Includes new 8" diameter rubber grommet at the downcomer-to-header connection. 1.3 Damaged Fill Area Remove and replace (2) bays (6'x6'x4') of damaged non-fouled 19-mm cross-corrugated film fill, 15-mil thick. Includes: a) Two (2) 24" deep layers of Palmetto Plastics PCF1900 fill packs (or equal), 15-mil thick. b) Re-use the existing fill supports. IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE ATTACHED SPECIFICATIONS LOCATED IN THE VENDOR CHECKLIST UNDER "IMPORTANT BID DOCUMENTS FOR DOWNLOAD". 2 1 EACH NAICS 423830 The following services shall be listed as a lump sum price. Services and materials shall include the following repairs in one (1) cooling tower cells as follows: 2.1 Lateral Support Repairs During the same mobilization as the base bid and in the same cell, remove the remaining 2x4 transverse lateral supports/tie lines in (1) cell and install FRP supports. Includes: a) 3.5" channel lateral supports, double members. Ties will be spliced adjacent to the longitudinal fire wall. Ties will not be replaced through the fire wall. b) 3.5" channel transverse lateral support, single member, at the terminal end of the laterals installed mid-bay. c) Bolt to re-secure the existing lateral to the new FRP supports. Re-use the clips. IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE ATTACHED SPECIFICATIONS LOCATED IN THE VENDOR CHECKLIST UNDER "IMPORTANT BID DOCUMENTS FOR DOWNLOAD".
