Description
The Health Readiness Contracting Office at Fort Detrick, MD, is issuing this sources sought synopsis to conduct market research and identify qualified businesses with the interest and capability to fulfill this requirement. The requirement is for the lease – to include loaner equipment during maintenance – of four Olympus Model GIF-EZ1500 Endoscopes and five Olympus Model CF-EZ1500DL Endoscopes. Endoscopes must be compatible with government-owned equipment on the endoscope workstations to include: Olympus CV-190 Endoscopy Image Processor, Olympus UCR Endoscopic Insufflator, Olympus CVL-190 Flexible Endoscope Fiber Optic Cable Light Source, and Olympus WM-DP2 Endoscopic Video. Offerors must be authorized agents capable of leasing new Olympus equipment. The results of this market research will help determine the method of procurement. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 339112 (Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing), and the Product and Service Code (PSC) is W065 (Lease Or Rental Of Equipment-Medical, Dental, And Veterinary Equipment And Supplies).
The Health Readiness Contracting Office intends to solicit, negotiate, and award a sole-source contract for the lease of the endoscopes listed above This contract will be in support of Blanchfield Army Community Hospital (BACH) at Fort Campbell, KY.
This synopsis for commercial items has been prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only synopsis; a written solicitation will not be issued at this time. The solicitation number is W81K04-26-Q-A029 and is anticipated to be issued as a direct contract award unless market research reveals other authorized distributors for Olympus endoscopes.
THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME. This request for capability information does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP). The submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary, and the Government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred by respondents.
Interested parties who believe they are capable of meeting the requirement described above are invited to submit a capability statement. Your response must be limited to five (5) pages and should include the following:
- Company name, address, point of contact, phone number, and email address.
- Company's business size and any socioeconomic status (e.g., Small Business, Woman-Owned, etc.).
- A detailed description of your company's technical capability to provide the required implementation services, including any status as a licensed or authorized partner of Olympus America Inc.

Based on the responses to this sources sought notice, this requirement may be set-aside for small businesses or procured through full and open competition. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted or acknowledged, and no feedback or evaluations will be provided to companies regarding their submissions.
