Purpose

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) uses contracted Armed Protective/Security Officers to safeguard federal employees, visitors, and property at both temporary and fixed facilities during disaster recovery operations for emergency declaration DR4899-MS. Armed Protective/Security Officers have a crucial and highly visible role in FEMA mission. FEMA is considering the issuance of a labor hour contract to establish Level II Armed Security Guard Services at the Joint Field Office (JFO) and all disaster sites in support of DR4899-MS in the state of Mississippi for a base period of performance of ninety (90) days and two options periods of ninety (90) days each.
