The 502d Contracting Squadron intends to issue a direct a firm fixed price purchase order to Spectrum/Charter Communications Operating LLC (SAM UEI: MX16CA896HK5), located at 12405 Powerscourt Drive, Saint Louis, Missouri, 63131-3673, for Wi-Fi services at Building 907, 1851 1st Street East, Suite 1, JBSA – Randolph, TX 78150.
Market research determined that this requirement can only be fulfilled by Spectrum/Charter Communications Operating LLC. They are the sole vendor capable of providing Wi-Fi services to Building 907 due to the existing coaxial infrastructure, which is owned and maintained by Spectrum/Charter. A survey confirmed that the building’s ready-to-use coaxial cable system is proprietary to Spectrum/Charter, and no other provider can utilize or replace this infrastructure without causing unacceptable delays or incurring substantial duplication of costs. Based on these findings, a sole-source procurement is justified.
