Commercial Kitchen Equipment

1.0 Introduction

The 187th Fighter Wing is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) to gather information from qualified vendors for the procurement of commercial kitchen equipment. The purpose of this RFI is to identify potential sources and to obtain information on products that meet the specifications outlined below.  Information received shall be used to develop the Statement of Requirements and budget for this requirement.

Funding is not currently available for this requirement.

2.0 Scope of Requirement

We are seeking information on the following commercial kitchen equipment. Please provide product details, specifications, and any other relevant information about equipment that meets the following criteria (all sizes are approximate and not mandatory):

2.1 Steam Jacketed Electric Tilting Kettle

  • Capacity: 25-40 Gallons
  • Heating: Self-contained, high-speed 24 kW electric self-generating steam boiler
  • Features:
    • Water Treatment System
    • Swing waterspout
    • One-piece, counter-balanced stainless steel cover
    • Upright tilting capability
    • Pan support for one 12” x 20” x 2 ½” deep pan
    • Electric Controls
    • Low water cutoff
  • Construction:
    • Kettle base with 6” legs
    • Base front steel door with magnetic latches
  • Certifications: ASSE approved, ASME constructed, National Board Registered

2.2 Gas Steam Compartment Cooker

  • Fuel Type: Natural Gas
  • Features:
    • Water treatment system
    • Electric ignition
    • Automatic blowdown
    • 60-minute mechanical timer per compartment
    • Steam flow to stop when doors are open and restart when closed
    • Automatic water control, pressure gauge, safety relief valve
  • Construction:
    • Stainless steel doors with full perimeter gasket, lock, and seal mechanism
    • Fully insulated cooking chamber with removable steel pan supports
    • Kettle base with 6” legs
  • Certifications: ASME Constructed, National Board Registered

3.0 Compliance Requirements

A critical requirement for this procurement is adherence to the latest standards. All proposed products must be in full compliance with the Revolutionary FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation) Overhaul and any and all DoW (Department of the War) Deviations. Vendors must be prepared to provide documentation certifying this compliance.

4.0 Additional Requirements

In addition to the product specifications, responses should include information on the following:

  • Warranty: Details on the manufacturer's warranty for parts and labor.
  • Installation: Availability and cost of professional installation services.
  • Fittings: Confirmation that the equipment will be delivered with all necessary fittings, hoses, and connections for fully operational use upon installation.

5.0 Submission Guidelines

Interested parties are requested to provide a response that includes:

  • Product data sheets and specifications.
  • Confirmation of compliance with all requirements listed in Section 3.0.
  • Information on warranty, installation, and included fittings as per Section 4.0.
  • Optional: budgetary pricing and estimated lead times (this information will be used to develop a budget and request funding).
