Request for Information Desktop Video Magnification Devices This announcement constitutes a Special Notice. THIS IS NOT a Request for Quote (RFQ) or a Request for Proposal (RFP). The documents included in this posting are not finalized. This announcement is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or award a contract. The Department of Veterans Affairs Veteran Health Administration, Prosthetics Sensory Aids Service (PSAS) has a need for Desktop Video Magnification Devices (VMDs) for visually impaired Veterans. VMDs offer visually impaired users the ability to view objects at a variety of levels, from extremely low to extremely high magnification. The purpose of this acquisition is to establish a reliable supply source for contracted items used by Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Centers (VAMCs), ensuring consistent product availability across all facilities nationwide. This notice is to determine interest and capability of potentially qualified Businesses (All Sizes) relative to the North American Industry Classification code (NAICS): 334220 - Radio and Television Broadcasting and Wireless Communications Equipment Manufacturing. VA is not seeking proposals at this time and will not accept unsolicited proposals. All responses shall be solely in the form of information and materials. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. The Government is under no obligation to issue a solicitation or to award any contract on the basis of this RFI. All costs associated with responding to this RFI will be the sole responsibility of the respondent. PLEASE NOTE- The Government reserves the right to not respond to any questions received by industry in response to this posting. All submissions will be treated as business confidential materials, become Government property, and will not be returned.
