Description of equipment requirements: The Department of Veterans Affair, VISN 10 Prosthetics Services requires a full turn-key upgrade/replacement of the present, Satisloh Optical Coaters (Serial # 165-2014 & 147-2012), presently located at the VA VISN 10 Optical Lab, Indianapolis, Indiana. Including: 2 01-053-890 UO-MR3 Coating Unit MR3 Coating Unit (1027UO) Fully integrated system that automatically cleans, coats, and cures lenses in one uninterrupted cycle. Capable of processing 3 lenses concurrently at speeds of 80 lenses/hour. "Voltage: 115V Frequency: 60Hz" Including: MR3 Coating Unit Color touchscreen with integrated owner's manual HEPA filter system Support/Services The VA is procuring two (2) enhanced/improved Ultra Optics Coating Machines, to replace the presently owned equipment. The presently owned equipment is over ten (10) years and is propriety equipment originally manufactured by Satisloh North America, Inc. The requested new equipment is a subcomponent of a larger component, filtration machine. No other manufactures offerings would seamlessly integrate into the optical lab s current equipment inventory. OEM trade-in acceptance of old equipment is also a consideration. A firm fixed price contract with no options is anticipated and shall be awarded. It is the Government's belief that only the proposed candidate possesses the required capabilities to successfully meet this requirement. It is the Government's intention to solicit and negotiate with only this source. This is not a Request for Proposal; this is a Notice of Intent to Sole Source requirement. This is an urgent matter. No responses will be accepted after NOON, Wednesday, January 7, 2026.
