Description

Bids for the construction of the McDuffie Square Stage will be received by the City of Laurinburg at the office of the Budget & Management Services Director, City Hall, 303 W. Church Street, Room 244, Laurinburg, NC, until 2:00 P.M. local time on January 30, 2026. Bids may be submitted on or before the submittal deadline in accordance with the bid instructions. The project consists of new elevated concrete stage platform structural steel roof for the City of Laurinburg, which will be built on the City’s property near the intersection of Railroad Street and South Gill Street in Laurinburg. The site is free of trees and other structures which will not require any clearing or demolition work. The City will provide utilities to the new structure. There is an existing railroad boxcar adjoining the project but there is no work related to the boxcar in this contract. Bids will be received for a single prime contract with all trades. Electronic bid documents may be obtained on/after January 18, 2026 by a downloadable link on the City of Laurinburg website at https://www.laurinburg.org/business/#purchasing-rfps. Bidders must complete the vendor registration process to login and obtain copies of the bid documents and drawings. Prospective bidders are highly encouraged to schedule a site visit in accordance with the bid documents prior to submitting a bid. The project site is near the intersection of Railroad Street and South Gill Street, Laurinburg, NC. Bid bond/bid security of 5% shall be required with the submittal of bids. A performance bond may be required in accordance with NC General Statutes. Insurance in a form acceptable to the Owner will be required of the successful bidder. The City of Laurinburg is an Equal Opportunity Employer and invites submission of proposals from minority and women-owned businesses. Bidders shall also meet all State of NC, federal, and local requirements for MWBE (HUB) participation. The City reserves the right to reject any and/or all proposals and to waive irregularities and informalities in any bids submitted.
