EMA - Sandbag Machines The Illinois Emergency Management Agency - Office of Homeland Security is seeking bids for three (3) manual sandbag machines and one (1) automatic sandbag machine. Details are in the attachments Item # 1: ( 578 - 37 ) Manual Sandbag machine. Must produce between 700-900 bags per hour. Must have 2 augers. Must not weigh more than 10,000 lbs. Must have 4 chutes. Must be compatible with fill types of sand (wet and dry), gravel, mulch and soil. Must work with bag types made from polypropylene, polyethylene, canvas and geotextile. Must work with bag types made from polypropylene, polyethylene, canvas and geotextile. Must be able to fill a bag with 1 - 5,000 lbs. Must have a programable control system that provides precise runtime and fill adjustments. Automatic Sandbag Machine. Must produce 1,200 bags per hour. Must have a dual agitator. Must not weigh more than 10,000 lbs. Must have a minimum of 4 chutes, or conveyer belts, or a combination of chutes and conveyer belts.
