The vendor is also continuing development of the Notice of Funding Availability for the Intercity Bus pilot, an effort critical to improving mobility for low-income and disadvantaged communities. Additionally, the vendor is completing cybersecurity plan templates and guidance needed for transit agencies to meet new FTA requirements, and is assisting a small rural agency with procuring an A&E firm for a major bus storage and administration facility. Because this work is already well underway and relies on the vendor's existing progress and expertise, shifting to a new vendor at this stage would cause delays, increase costs, and disrupt continuity supporting the need for a sole-source procurement.
