Item # 2: The Agency (IDOT) is seeking a consultant to research, assess, document, and create community wide alternative transportation plans for approximately 20 smaller Illinois communities. The plans will be targeted to K-12 students and will include mapped routes and safety skill tips to encourage walking, rolling and biking to school. The community transportation plans will work in concert with Safe Routes to School program requirements for non-infrastructure projects. Plans will be distributed in booklet and electronic form.
