SP DRS Career Counseling Self-Advocacy The Division of Rehabilitation Services is seeking a peer-run organization comprised of members who understand the lived experience of those with intellectual or developmental disabilities (ID/DD). This organization will assist in advancing our career counseling objectives by providing self-advocate co-presenters for Community Day Service (CDS) organizations holding 14c certificates in Illinois. Item # 1: ( 918 - 67 ) DHS is seeking a vendor to provide and utilize various methods to collect information from individual field offices, the peer-led self-advocates, and 14c certificate holder CDS organizations to create scripts appropriate and applicable to the regional target audience. The Entity will be responsible for providing a copy of the script to each CDS provider in both print and email form prior to self-advocate presentations. Completion of this milestone will occur no later than 90 days from the execution of the agreement. Initial Term of the contract will be for 3yrs (36months). This will include but not limited to; collaboration with accessibility experts and design professionals to develop accessible templates, materials, and guidelines for peer-led self-advocate presentation. The entity will utilize features such as alternative text, caption, and compatibility with assistive technologies. Completion of this milestone is expected to be on-going through the length of the agreement with a minimum of 4 presentations annually. Virtual presentations will only be performed at the request and/or expectation of the CDS organization, or due to safety mitigation procedures due to infectious disease outbreak or other statewide declaration of emergencies prohibiting in-person presentations. Completion of this milestone will occur no later than 90 days from the execution of the agreement and is expected to be on-going through the length of the agreement. The expectation is a minimum of 4 presentations annually. Initial Term of the contract will be for 3yrs (36months). DHS is seeking a vendor to provide an in-person, self-advocate co-presenter if the CDS organization cannot. Payment for self-advocate co-presenter, as identified by the CDS organization, is to include preparation time (1 hour) and presentation time (1.5 hour). Completion of this milestone will occur no later than 90 days from the execution of the agreement and is expected to be on-going through the length of the agreement. Initial Term of the contract will be for 3yrs (36months). Data will be collected in a variety of ways and compiled in a logical and understandable format. The Entity will provide consultation with DRS to review presentation feedback and analysis, and to make recommendations to improve on deficiencies and build on strengths. The Entity will meet quarterly with DRS to provide this information in a concise manner to best serve individuals with disabilities.
