2024 SP ILLINOIS CONFERENCE ON VOLUNTEER ADMINISTRATION The IDHS-Serve Illinois Commission will be hosting a one-day Statewide Illinois Conference on Volunteerism and Community Service on Thursday, October 10 in Chicago, Illinois. Item # 1: ( 971 - 65 ) The IDHS-Serve Illinois Commission will be hosting a one-day Statewide Illinois Conference on Volunteerism and Community Service on Thursday, October 10 in Chicago, Illinois. Serve Illinois requires access to the meeting space beginning at 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM. At least five hours will be needed on Wednesday, October 9th for set up. The facility will need to provide a meeting space for 250 people, dining room style. Round tables and chairs will be needed for this room for dining and plenary sessions, as well as 20 rectangular tables with 40 chairs in the same room or a separate space for a vendor fair. Three registration tables with six chairs are also needed. A stage with microphones, a speaker system, a projector, and a projector screen are also needed for plenary sessions in the main room/hall. We will also need six breakout rooms with 50 chairs, classroom style are needed for workshops, including a podium with a microphone and projector/projector screen or LED screen. General needs include a clean-up crew and WIFI available throughout the facility. The venue must also have in-house catering with options such as coffee and water, continental breakfast, and lunch options. The in-house caterer must have the ability to accommodate allergy and dietary restrictions.
