Description
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) intends to award a firm fixed price contract for spare FLYGT Ginder Pumps for the Sterling Field Support Center in Sterling, VA. The Government intends to make an award to the responsive responsible quoter providing the best value in accordance with FAR 12.203(c)(2).
Brand Name Justification
The Sterling Field Support Center had a sewer lift station custom built. This FLYGT model sewer pump is the only compatible product with our lift station because of the specific rail assembly. Any other brand will not fit our sewer lift station. To use a different brand pump, it would require completely redoing the sewer lift station and it would cost between $75,000 to $100,000.
