Description
1. The 439th Contracting Squadron (CONS), Westover Air Reserve Base, MA intends to award a sole-source to Phillips Corporation, under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), for a repair of a existing HAAS Milling Machine.
2. This requirement is for the labor, supervision, materials and equipment necessary to apply/install the necessary components to service and repair the HAAS milling machine. The requirement to repair the existing HAAS milling machine is located in Bldg. 7072, 350 Hangar Ave, Westover ARB, Chicopee, MA 01022.
3. Phillips Corporation technicians have been licensed to work on HAAS milling machines, and they are the only individuals authorized to perform warranty work on this machine. Haas CNC machine and components, (collectively, "Haas Products") are warranted by manufacturer against defects in material and workmanship.
4. Phillips Corporation's Haas Certified Technicians will complete all out of warranty repairs due to repair parts carry a warranty, provided the repair is performed by a Haas Certified Technician.
5. This NOTICE OF INTENT is not a Solicitation, or Request for Quote. Its a Government notification intended to proceed with a Sole-source. Pursuant to FAR 13.501(a)iii, Special Documentation requirements, the formal justification and approval for this action shall be posted with this publication. Please see attachment below.
