Description
The National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC is seeking interested contractors who can provide preventative maintenance and repair services for a variety of entrance, passage, and security doors located at the Gallery’s East Building, West Building, Connecting Link, and Sculpture Garden.
The doors that require services include but will not be limited to manual exterior entry doors of multiple manufacturers and construction, interior and exterior doors with automatic openers and ADA buttons, oversize interior glass sliding doors (Blasi Doors), overhead high speed, overhead security/fire roll up doors, and interior pocket style fire doors.
The Contractor is required to furnish all labor, transportation, equipment, materials, tools, supervision, and management required to provide preventive maintenance, adjusting, lubricating, repair, testing, inspection, and operational checks on various doors.
The proposed contract will be multi-year, to a single contractor who is encouraged to provide the services themselves in addition to managing subcontractors who may better address niche or novel door issues.
